Madrid, May 29, 1908.

ON receipt of your despatch No. 46 of the 29th ultimo, Sir M. de Bunsen enquired whether the Spanish Government would be willing to conclude an Agreement with His Majesty's Government in regard to the mutual protection of trade-marks in China and Corea.

I have the honour to transmit herewith translation of a note from the Spanish Government in reply, from which you will observe that the Ministry of Justice has been urgently reminded of the matter.

I now inform your Excellency that the competent Department of the Ministry of Grace and Justice has to-day been reminded of the urgency of the matter. I hope, therefore, shortly to be able to communicate to your Excellency a satisfactory reply.
